Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 Promotional Kit expired?

I have a little question.

Sometime last year (or maybe it even was in 2008) my wife got a Vista Ultimate SP1 promotional kit from an IT conference she attended. This kit is Microsoft branded and contains a 32 bit Vista Ultimate disc. The problem is that it doesn't contain any license key, just a short code printed on a sticker inside the cover. You are supposed to go to a site: http://www.registerwindowsvistasp1.com, enter the code and get a license key. My wife never registered this, and now that I was going to use it, this site doesn't exist anymore, and the guy I talked to at Microsoft had never heard about this promotional kit. Anyone here who has used this? Is this something that has expired totally and is useless now, or is it any way to still register and make use of this?

No big deal really, I was planning to install it on one of my home computers. I am generally no Vista fan, so this was just to make use of a free OS and learn more about using and troubleshooting Vista for educational purposes.

Answer found.. I didn't see this particular link yesterday, but found it now. Seems like this was a TechNet thing, and that June 2009 was the final end of this thing:
