W500 display
W500 display
Does the W500 have a better display than the one on the new T410? I was going to get the T410 until I saw this: http://www.anandtech.com/show/2976/leno ... business/6
Re: W500 display
I believe all the T410 machines have LED backlights, which means in English that it has a string of LEDs to light the screen, rather than the traditional CCFL. They (LEDs) are much brighter than the traditional bulb. The W500 only uses that technology on some models and, as far as I know, on WXGA screens. I set my machine (W500 WUXGA screen) next to a T400 with the LED backlights, and the difference was striking. The whites on my screen looked gray in comparison. The LED screens also have no bulb to burn out and no inverter to fail.
