x31 ... but which one?!

Hey guys, read up on the x31 threads, but this is my first post.

I am a college student/avid computer geek and have set my aims on an earlier model X31 Thinkpad for my uses. I just can't figure out what the differences in the type number and sub class is! Like, what is the difference between the 2672, 2673, 2884, 2885, 2890 or 2891? I believe the 2672 is all I need(1.4Ghz Pentium M is the slowest processor I have seen, which is plenty). But worse, after the type, there are a 3-digit letter/number thing that I haven't seen explained anywhere!

Basicly, the laptop I want is:

IBM Thinkpad X31
Pentium M 1.4+ GHz
256+ MB of RAM
40+ GB hard drive
Bluetooth wireless built-in/internal module (optional)
Wi-fi 802.11 b/g or a/b/g internal module

What options do I have with built-in wireless(not PC cards) on the oldest/cheapest X31 around? can I get an 802.11 a/b/g card? a bluetooth card? Is there a layout where I can compare all the specs of the various x31's? Thanks.
