Sorry to start another bag/sleeve thread, but...
Does anyone know of something that's just about as big as a sleeve, except with a shoulder strap or handles? I'd also like to be able to fit the AC in there, perferably in a little pocket, not by over-stretching the sleeve... I have finally had it with my Dell bag. Yea it does a [censored] good job of protecting the laptop, but it also weighs 17lb (T41p + bag, not kidding)...
T61p 6460-67U.
Check this one out:
http://www.ebags.com/ebags/techweave_la ... elid=11320
It fits my T23 perfectly, with an inch to spare all around. You can put your power brick in the compartment designed for files. I bought mine for $20 but now at a lower price it is worth every penny. Very light and many colors to choose from.

I just got the Sleevecase with added flap, shoulder strap and piggyback from:
http://www.sfbags.com/products/sleeveca ... ecases.htm
The piggyback is an add-on little pack for poiwer-brick, etc. that you can leave off, in the car, whatever if you don't need it.
It is all ballistic nylon on the outside, and neoprene inside.
Nicest quality that I have ever seen.
A bit more expensive than most, the whole thing cost me just over $100 delivered, but IT IS WORTH IT!!
I am extremely happy with it.
SIze 11 fits T42 with regular battery or extended battery. The fit with the extended battery is (supposedly) a bit tight, but works fine.
Wonderful!!

I absolutely love my Brenthaven bag. I bought the "Deluxe Slim" model about half a year ago. I gotta be honest, I went through at least half a dozen different bags, backpacks, and sleeves before I finally found Brenthaven. The bags are made out of ballistic nylon. The sleeve inside is impressive: it's got a layer of stiff and strong plastic which protects the laptop from bumps. The inside of the sleeve has a very thick layer of cushion which protects the laptop when it's in the sleeve from drops. You can remove the sleeve relatively easily.
It's got MORE than enough room for the AC adapter, papers, USB stick, pens, etc. It's an amazing bag. About $90 on Newegg.com. They have backpacks, too, and a few of my friends swear by them.
Take a look:

The bag is much "bigger" than it looks in that picture in terms of the amount of stuff you can cram inside of the bag. Brenthaven's website has a better picture of the bag when it's open: you can see all the pockets the bag has inside.

If so, do you have the 14" or 15" screen? I have the 14" and was wondering how snug the slim model you bought would be.
Thanks.
Sorry for the lack of response, I must have missed the eMail updating me about this thread.
I have a t40, so it's a 14.1. It's pretty snug; the laptop can't move much in the sleeve. But it's extremely well padded and protected.
Actually, I'd say the laptop fits so well that it was designed for the t40...although we all know that's not true.

Pink suede? Gag me with a spoon.
I carried my notebook(s) in a beat-up backpack with minimal padding for years until my back and shoulder gave out. I loved that bag. It was made by Silicon Sports before they were swallowed up by Kensington. I was traveling nearly 100% of the time for several years and could get everything I needed in it including a change of clothing if I was on just an overnight trip (cotton knit dress and loose jacket rolled tightly and hung up in a steamy bathroom).
Now I have a Brenthaven wheeled bag - the vertically-oriented one, and it just travels back and forth to work, thank goodness (the romance and adventure of business travel wore off for me after about 3 weeks).
