X201 replacing palmrest with palmrest w/trackpad

X201 ordered without trackpad. Thought easiest route would be replacing palmrest. Wrong.

Ordered 60Y5419 - unit came without cable to connect to system board and missing "thinkpad" sticker (fine except there's an empty cutout for it)

Ordered 60Y5415 after tech told me 19 was incorrect. Told should have cable/sticker. Didn't.

No one can tell me how to order these parts.. any other routes I can take to get this resolved?

Have you tried eBay? Maybe you can bag one there for cheap?

Didn't see initially - can't get IBM parts to help, returning the original laptops.

Seems kind of drastic for such a small problem. Let me know if you haven;t yet decided to return the laptops, and I'll see if I can reverse engineer the FRU from my laptop if you want.

nah, i'm all set..

I thought i was doing everyone a favor trying to purchase the palmrests, but after two different part numbers and no one on parts side taking any lead in finding the two missing pieces i just ordered the systems..

FRU 60Y5421 looks like it is the correct part.
