T41 Screen?

Well I got my donar T41 today.

Symptoms:

Installed memory switch on and you could see screen lit but no pic..
Then get lots of lines, then no light, then picture, then lines, then blank no light

Any ideas as hoping to use screen?
Toshiba M50-164 - 1.73Ghz, 2GB Ram, 60GB HD, DVDRW, Wifi, WinXP Home
IBM T41 - 1.6Ghz, 1GB Ram, 40GB HD, DVD/CDRW, WIFI, WinXP Pro

The LCD may be just fine. Seems like the symptoms of a detached GPU to me.
