A22e has distorted video output

#1 Post by bonestonne » Sun Jun 27, 2010 11:24 am

Hey all,

I came across an A22e yesterday, and while the battery seems to be good, it works with my RAM (only the 256mb modules though) and needs a hard drive, the video output to the screen seems distorted. I have not had a chance to test it with an external monitor yet, but I'm wondering if this is a common problem.

I took the keyboard off, and noticed that there is a small component board that has the power/hdd lights on it, and also has the output of the video signal. Is this small board causing the problem? I did try wiggling the display wires on it, and it did seem to cause some changes with the display, but nothing that made a huge difference.

If I can't fix it for cheap I plan on selling it for parts, so any advice would be much appreciated!
