R31 Power supply

Does anyone know how to open teh power supply for the R31? My DC cable has gone short circuit almost at the power supply itself, the only way to fix the cable is to get the power supply open. I am not really keen to spend larg $$$ on what is essentially a very cheap repair.

Power supply? You mean your AC Adapter?
