What replacement battery size (in cell) should I get?

#1 Post by mapleleaf » Tue Jul 06, 2010 5:42 pm

Hi there!
I'm looking at replacing my battery (FRU P/N 42T4513) for my R61i 893xxx (dual CPU T2370 @ 1.37 GHz 2 CPU's).
I'd like to purchase one that holds a bit more then just the original one. My main aim is to be able to watch dvd's, wlan and word processing.
On e-bay I see some with 6 cell, 9 cell or 12 cell. Can anyone tell me from experience/knowledge how many hours I should get out of the various cells?

Thanks!

It depends on your screen size. Go here for approximate battery run time of 4, 6, and 9 cell batteries. A 12 cell battery will get you a couple hours more than a 9 cell, generally speaking. Try to stay away from generic batteries if you can, as they generally won't last as long, run time or life-wise.

It might help if you said what the original was.
