screen hinge

#1 Post by asmith219 » Wed Jul 07, 2010 12:33 am

are there any tutorials on how to tighten the screen hinges on a t60? also the fingertip mouse is not working, some on removed the memory and might have damaged the palm rest.

There are a couple of screws, but these will only help if the hinge is loose at the base. If the hinges are just wobbly (so that you can jiggle the screen back and forth), nothing will help except replacing the hinge. Wobbly hinge syndrome tends to develop over time, on some hinges less than on others.

Generally, you will find almost all of the useful information on disassembling and reassembling the T60 in the hardware maintenance manual.

As per HMM, remove keyboard and keyboard bezel/palmrest.
That should do it.
