No, wrong socket. Unless you've got a need to run the CPU at high capacity frequently, I don't know perhaps you do, I doubt you'd notice a difference between the two.

I need it for x264 encoding. Is it possible to put qx9300 quad? I have read that the w500 bios does not have it's Id. Is it possible make it recognize it?
I dont worry about over heating, I undervolt the t9400 CPU from 78c to 53 at 100% load, so even at 70c I can run qx9300 fine.

what about overclocking? any one know how to do it on the W500?
i tried ClockGen and SETFSB.
Clockgen does not have any sliders to control the pll, and SETFSB free version, i have no idea what is the ppl(tried them all).
threre is another version of SETFSB, a shareware, and it recognize my pll, but until ipay i cannot see any change(i'm not going to buy a software that i dont know if it works at all...)

any other ideas of ho to do overclocking?
