ibm R&R OR dantz retrospect

I'm looking to backup my t42 and I have no experience with either of these two programs. What would be the preferred method? I have a r&r backup on my hard drive I could copy to my external drive or use the retrospect express software that came with the drive.

The Retrospect may be a "stripped down" version, but either should do the job.You will be making backups for a long time to come, so take the time now and try both.
