T400 DVD/CDRW drive

#1 Post by emeraldgirl08 » Sat Jul 17, 2010 8:43 am

Currently I have my T400 DVD/CDRW sitting in a box. I'm wondering if there is any type of enclosure or a connector that will let me put this to use. I do have an external DVD-writer but it's much too clunky to carry with me and needs AC to use. I remember looking through fleabay and seeing some adapter that let you connect your ultrabay DVD/CD to your Thinkpad. I'm just not too sure if this was for the older Thinkpads? I also think I may saw some enclosures for the ultrabay optical drive?

I seldom use DVD's or CD's these days but it would be nice for the times I would like to watch one of my season television shows on DVD.

Anyone have any ideas?

Nevermind.

Found me an adapter for the T/R6x DVDCDRW drive I was selling. Looks like I'll retract the item from my marketplace post. I'm wondering if anyone has one like it and if it works fine?

If it does work then it sure would be better for portability than the external DVDwriter I'm using presently.
