Is there a WUXGA S-IPS screen that fits the T500?

#1 Post by LymanSS » Sat Jul 17, 2010 1:34 pm

I'd like to uprade the screen in my T500 to an S-IPS (or FFS if available) WUXGA screen. The current screen has way too much color distortion, and I could also really use the extra resolution. I've been looking for a 15.4 inch S-IPS or FFS WUXGA panel that will fit, but I can't find anything. I've been thinking about the panel out of the T61, but as far as I can tell, that's a TN panel, so it will likely suffer form the same vertical color distortion. Does anyone have experience with the T61 panel, particularly in applications that require high color accuracy? Has anyone else attempted such a screen swap on a T500? Any input would be appreciated.
