Administrative privileges for Lenovo Toolbox

#1 Post by ledlaptop » Tue Jul 20, 2010 2:50 pm

I recently tried to access the Lenovo Toolbox on my T500 and it says I need adminstrative privileges to access it.As far as I can see,I am the only person using the laptop. How do I get admin privileges on my own laptop? Kind of a strange thing to be asking all of a sudden.I also had some trouble with the presentation director with a program named tpfnf7 that would always require me to access the task manager to shut the program down manually.I got so [censored] off at it that I re-installed windows xp pro just so I wouldn't be bothered with it.Seems alot of hassle just to own one of these laptops.

Even if I sign-in at the welcome screen as administrator,Thinkvantage toolbox still says administrative privileges are needed.Anybody out here?

Are you running XP now or Windows 7? If W7, what happens if you right click on the toolbox icon and select 'run as administrator'?
