I plan to buy a new laptop sometime soon (running T60 for 3 years, but RAM is already maxed out and I run a bit of VMs). The pricing in Europe is just ridiculous - a well know fact. I planned to buy it for my company, which in short means I can deduct 40% off the price, but that would still mean paying +25% more than for the same machine in US (the fun starts when we measure the purchasing power).
Anyway, I decided that I will buy in US again and ask somebody to bring it to me.
The question is - what is the best time to buy directly from Lenovo US? When do they cut the prices the most? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought there were certain dates when the prices fall considerably.
I'm not in a hurry and I can wait even a few months if necessary. Thanks!
