Assessing ReadyBoost Effect with Patriot 8GB Class 6 SD card

Hi,

I am trying to get a flash card for storage/readyboost to go with my T61 (6463-CTO, see sig).
I was going to get the Sandisk SD Extreme III (http://www.shopbot.ca/pp-sandisk-secure ... 90648.html) and use it as 4gb for Readyboost, and 4gb for storage. It is listed as Class 6.

However now I have see that I can get a Sandisk CF Extreme IV (40mb/s) (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... VqHCjCdwwp) for a similair price.

So I have 2 questions,

One, will both of these even work with my T61 4-in-1 card reader (I know only that it can read micro SD cards in the big case without problems). And given that both will work, which of these should I go for?

I have been reading and searching google and various forums for 2 hours and if you guys can provide any help I would appreciate it alot.

NVM I figured it out; the compact flash is not compatible with the 4 in 1 card reader I have. Just in case anybody ever wonders later on, I figured I would update it here.

Also, i ended up going with a Patriot 8 GB Class 6 SD card. After reformatting the card to NTFS Windows recommended that I dedicate the entire 7+ gigs remaining to ReadyBoost. Now I only have 2 GB of memory, so as far as I heard previously, 6GB would be the amount to go for. However, since Windows was recommending it, I decided to listen and dedicated the entire card to ReadyBoost to see what happens.

I did notice some quickness in launching apps, responsiveness, etc. Also my Windows 7 has felt more snappier and quicker than ever before. But then again, I've just reinstalled my Windows 7, and also tweaked it for performance (something I didn't do last time) so I might be wrongly attributing the effect of the a fresh and tweaked install to the effect of ReadyBoost.

If anyone knows of an empirical way for me to measure the effect of the SD card on performance, please let me know. I guess I'm looking for some sort of bench-marking programmed that I can test with the card inserted and the card not inserted. I don't think anything in particular exists that is tailored to measure ReadyBoost effects, but hopefully you guys can suggest something that can do the job.

If I can find some way to compare before and after performance with a Patriot 8GB Class 6 SD card ReadyBoost, I will gladly upload the results here so anyone else considering ReadyBoost can have some objective data.
