Hello -
After purchasing my SL410 from Lenovo, the battery died about four weeks later. I received a warrany replacement. Since then, I've noticed the system time keeps losing one hour after each time I correct it. Could the system battery be going bad as it does in a desktop machine? If so, is it something I can access to replace? Any other thoughts as to the culprit?
Thanks in advance.
SL410 Losing Time
Re: SL410 Losing Time
Is it exactly one hour? If so, check the time zone setting in 'Adjust Date/Time'.
Re: SL410 Losing Time
I had adjusted the time plenty of times before and it kept losing one hour. I checked the time zone it was correct. However, I guess I need to update the machine to let it know that Indiana know observes daylight savings time. It doesn't so it was putting the hour back. Thanks for making me investigate further! Apparently, it's resolved.
