Access connections 3.70 doesn't seem to automatically switch
It won't switch my profiles automatically when the ethernet is disconnected. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, it worked just fine with 3.53 but 3.53 used to crash every so often. This one doesn't crash, but doesn't automatically switch. Anyone know how to fix this?
Go into the Location Switching Menu and make sure that the checkbox is set to switch automatically, and order the priority of the profiles to switch. Worked for me when I upgraded to 3.70.

I've tried checking and unchecking that box several times to no availe. I've also tried deleting my profiles and remaking them. So far, the best that happens is that when my ethernet is disconnected, it looks for only 1 of my wireless network profiles and when it doesn't find that one it stops instead of searching for the other two which I know exist here.
i've been running 3.53 since it was released and i tried to uninstall it and use 3.70 last week and afterwards i did a restart. Access Connections immediately crashed, so i started AC manually... it crashed again. So I restart XP, login, AC crashes AGAIN. 3.70 got uninstalled and im back at 3.53 now. Version 3.53 may crash every once in a while, but v3.70 was just a nightmare for me.

I am using Access Connections V3.7 just fine. You need to make sure you are using the most up-to-date Wireless driver as well. I don't switch much once I have a connection, but when I do it seems to work. Whenever I start up fresh in any of my several profiles, it picks the correct profile and makes a connection.
With respect to Access Connections:
1. Consider uninstalling both the wireless driver and Access Connections, restarting and installing the wireless driver first then Access Connections.
2. I was experimenting with Access Connections and caused problems. I purchased a copy of Registry First Aid (Rose City Software) and ran it. That solved the AC problems. I am not a big fan of registry tools, but this one saved an expensive reload for me.

ya... new drivers for the 2200bg haven't been released for a while.. so unless you are referring to the reference drivers (from intel), mine are up to date.
i'll just wait for the next release of AC.
EDIT: it only seemed to crash when trying to apply a profile for a wireless connection. wired connections worked fine.
