X300 Can't see WWAN Card after Standby

#1 Post by ranjanv » Sun Aug 08, 2010 4:25 am

Never had this problem on Windows XP. Recently upgraded to Windows 7 32-bit - Can't see my Sierra MC8775 WWAN card after system standby (the moon sign; Fn+F4).

Does anyone have any ideas? I already installed the latest power manager.

Sierra Wireless drivers have issues with Win 7 for sure. I had BSODs on standby resume after fresh install of Win 7 and newest Sierra drivers from Lenovo. On the BSOD it said the usual "dupming physical memory" and "swumx01.sys may be responsible".
Noone at Lenovo Poland had any idea what was going on, then I found this: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-Th ... td-p/32617
Makes an interesting read. I got rid of the Sierra card in favour of an external dongle and never looked back.
Hope this helps
