Longtime Mac owner = Happy Thinkpad owner

I'm new here, just got a Thinkpad X40 off eBay to replace my Apple G3 Pismo laptop.

I have to say I am really like the Thinkpad and I am glad I chose it over a comparable Dell d410 ultraportable. People obsession with owning multiple Thinkpads makes me feel right at home, since as a Mac user I have always had 1-2 "spares" in my house too. (Technically, its my 2nd IBM products as my old PowerMac tower had dual G5 PPC chips made by IBM)

I like the well thought out design of the laptop, placing USB plugs, ports, latches in the best possible place. It has always been one thing I did not like about PC laptops in general, the haphazard location of ports, plugs and controls. My cousin's Toshiba is a mess of buttons in different places and odd locations.

Very impressed with the power it has for having a 1.2GHz Pentium M. Just happened to also have been upgrading my brother's desktop, a Dell with a 2.4GHz Pentium 4 and I would have to say that the Thinkpad works about as well for thing like MS Office & Youtube.

Just a little ramble to say hello and maybe one of you can also help me with my tech question I posted in the X3/X4 section.

All kidding aside, The X40 is a nice choice. I was seriously looking into one for school use last summer before I ended up getting an X301 instead.
