R60 9456-HTG upgradeable to UXGA?

Just spotted a local listing for one of these. It has the Intel 950, so can it use the UXGA panel? Thanks!

I suppose it'll need the UXGA inverter and ribbon cable too though right? I have a spare panel unassembled but don't have the other pieces handy. This, in case I'm able to get hold of that machine of course

No, it is a straight swap on the R60.

Congrats, I was happy to help. I thought about doing it myself, but since I've acquired my X200, I've lost all taste for larger notebooks, even those with a great screen like the Hydis.

Hi y'all

My gf's screen went dead so we've been hooking it to a 2407WFP Dell through VGA cable which sucks...
I'm thinking of getting a docking station just so I can hook it to the Dell via DVI instead but looking through specs I'm not sure the R60 can use the DVI output... can anybody explain this to me? I'm not entirely sure what they mean by "DVI Pass-Through capability" but I guess it just means my card (intel) can't use it...

I think it should work. I remember having tested my Intel T60 with DVI cable and docking station to my old 22" monitor and it worked without problems. Your GF's is a R60, right? (not an R60e that has no docking station connector).

Yep it's an R60 with integrated (intel) graphics.
