Recovery Disks and Partitions

#1 Post by indicium » Wed Aug 18, 2010 4:04 pm

Will the recovery process delete a logical partition in its effort to restore the system to its original state? I know that upgrading or installing a clean copy will not delete it, however I am not sure about the recovery disks. I am moving from 32 bit to 64 bit.

Whatever is on the disk will be gone...partitions, formatting, everything.

It did delete the partition and set up the T410 just like it cam from the factory. the only interesting part was that I didn't get the bloatware, Lenovo sent 2 disks and they didn't contain anything but the OS, drivers and some software like moviemaker and burners. Interesting that the 64 bit took longer to setup than the 32 bit. Everything works fine but slightly differently except anything that uses VB 3.0, uses fewer processes, seems better at ulilizing the i5 core.
