LCD Screen borken - Suggestion Please - ** Pic linkInside **

My Thinkpad T42 (2378-DXU) 15" SXGA was dropped a few days back and right side of the screen went black. There are some colored lines also.
The is no crack on the screen though. http://imgur.com/sPlb0

1. Is the LCD broken ?
2. Can I replace it ?
3. What is the best place to buy a replacement


I am planning to buy a new laptop , but I love this one (the screen dimensions are great) and also spent $200 on upgrades/Fixes recently (Fan and HDD , keyboard etc ) would love to get it fixed

Sorry to learn of your mishap. As to your questions:

1 - Yes. Not borken (or broken) in the cracked sense, but certainly damaged.

2 - Yes. It is replaceable, and it's not too difficult, if you're handy with a screw driver.

3 - Here in the forum's Market Place or ebay.

I started searching for the screen in ebay/google. The prices vary a lot (from $60 to $350), confused

I'd be VERY wary of that seller, his packing is almost non-existant!
Won't want that with an LCD, do you?
