Unable to get F3507g to connect

Hi guys,

I'm at my wits...I've been trying to fix this problem for the past 8hrs. I'm pretty sure, I've all the drivers installed correctly for windows 7 64bit, but I still can't get it work. Please advice.

Lenovo branded F3507g (60Y3205) Pin 20 taped - bought from ebay, pulled from S10 netbook

Have you entered the APN of your provider? Can't remember where this is done in AC.

Also, does your providers network show up in Windows list of wireless connections?

I ended up removing Access Connections and just using Win7's built in functions. Turned out to be much more stable. If your Ericson is detected as a mobile broadband device, Windows 7 should take care of everything without need for any additional software.

When you see your provider in Wireless Network Connections, right click and choose properties. Look through the tabs and enter the APN of your provider.

I've tried using win7's wireless network list, but it's not showing up and if it doesn't show up, i can't enter APN configurations

This is the error log from access connection when attempting to connect using mobile broadband profile:

Cause: Wireless WAN Radio is not powerd ON.
Error code: 044
Recommended action:
Communication with WAN service provider could not be established because the wireless radio is off. To power on the radio and attempt to connect, click Repair.

If the problem persists, contact your network administrator and provide the troubleshooting information below.

You will need to get hold of the Ericsson Connection Manager, which should work directly onto the card in a Windows environment, as you seem to have the card recognised satisfactorily by Windows 7.

You simply may not be able to get it to work with Access Connections in a X61 (which was never intended to use that particular card). Its a long shot, but have you tried untaping Pin 20?

BTW, which ISP are you intending to use?

Hi! Where can I download the ericsson connection manager? I'm uninstalling access connection as advised. untapping pin 20 will deactivate the card as it's not in x61's whitelist. I'm also suspecting that the card might be faulty? I was going to use it on Three Australia mobile broadband

I've installed Ericsson Connection Manager but it could not detect the WWAN card. I've pretty much exhausted all troubleshooting means, do you reckon that this might be a defective card?

It would be great if anyone can clarify if Lenovo branded F3507g - FRU:60Y3205 Pin 20 taped, pulled from a S10 netbook will work in an x61. Thanks!

I have a Dell branded F3507G working in my X61. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 and have taped pin 20.

It set itself up automatically once I selected the ISP (have used it with telecom NZ and vodafone NZ).

Gosh...I realised this card has been locked to AT&T!

Is there any way I can get around this?

I sent this AT command to it and here's the response:
