One more try for Intel 2915ABG Wireless Driver
Intel 2915ABG wireless card.
IBM does not have this driver online, II desperately need one that works, surely people on this forum have this card & appropriate drivers.
I currently have one that does not work with access connections and I have to manually turn it on/off through the device manager to save power. Also, the wireless status LED flashes non-stop which is really annoying.
Please help a fellow TP user out.
Thanks!

1. You could call IBM tech support and perhaps they would lead you to the driver.
2. Google the web. Check Dell site. Here is one off the HP site:

MIght be something on the Intel site.

My driver is dated 12/03/04, version 9.0.1.13.
Tech support is dumb, they told me to use the IBM abg card driver but it didn't work for obvious reasons.

If the person isn't helpful, you could try escaliting the issue.

With WinXP SP2 IBM says that there is no driver that is compatible with
the IBM a/b/g board. SP1 is OK. They said the cause was the way in
whiich MS implemented the driver interface in SP2 and they offered no
workaround or even a hint that there will be a new driver.
I think this is why the T43p doesn't have an IBM wifi in it. Maybe IBM will
drop their wifi???
By the way, as I recall, the IBM notice was regarding Bluetooth, but that
probably affects wifi too. Correct me if I am wrong.

I just found the address for the IBM WinXP SP2 information.
I am partially right, but it is the Bluetooth section that is affected, and
only 5 thinkpad models.

Scroll down to the "General Hints and Tps" section.
Re WiFi they said:
"WiFi Protected Access (WPA) support, previously only available as a free download, is included in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2. When you upgrade Windows XP SP2, WPA is supported automatically."
There was a link to click on for the driver.
Maybe this will be helpful? Sorry I was off base on my last post.
