External display showing LCD resolution on wake up (T42)

#1 Post by nielluin » Sat Aug 28, 2010 6:18 am

[Please move this message to T4x section, sorry I missed the 0, thanks]

Dear thinkpad users,

I am currently trying to fix my T42 15' (1400*1050) into working whitout ever having to open the lid. I'm using a miniDock and a Samsung external display on DVI which native resolution is 1440*900 with both external mouse and keyboard.

My issue is about the external display resolution, everything work fine when booting, it works fine when I change manually to the display native resolution, but I can't make it work fine when coming out from sleep mode. I always get back to a different résolution (i.e. 1400*1050 - witch is the native LCD display resolution).

My graphic card is an ATI RADEON 9600 and the diver version is 6.14.10.6547 - 06/02/2007

I have found some related topics but none gives me a satisfactory solution still those might help others: Thank for your ideas and support on this matter.
Regards,
Nielluin

This topic needs to be moved to the T4x Series forum where it will get more attention. This forum is for the T400, T410, T500, T510, etc.

One of the admins will move it for you.
