Wildpackets Inc & My New Member Greeting :)

#1 Post by mezcal » Tue Aug 31, 2010 1:24 am

Hi Guys,

I'm new to these forums so just want to start off with a big hello to you all.

I purchased an X100e almost 6 months ago and have been extremely happy with it; my first experience with Lenovo and I must say the build quality and especially the software support (x64 drivers) and Lenovo's own software applications have been awesome. Even the automatic driver update facility is a bonus (you won't find that w/Dell...)

Anyway, as per the subject title, I'm looking for a WiFi card that is supported by drivers produced by Wildpackets. If anyone has experience with using Wildpackets' software/drivers I would love to chat. Obviously my built in WiFi card is a no-go and the X100e's BIOS Whitelist is very limited in cards it will boot with - I'm almost certain their are no Wildpacket supported cards. That means a USB style card and I realize that there is not a great deal of support by Wildpackets, although some are meant to work OK. If anyone has direct experience in this area and can offer some advice I would be most appreciative.

I may post this topic on the forum.lenovo site and possibly elsewhere here. Sorry if you have to come accross it multiple times; I'm just rushed for info on this issue and hope to resolve it ASAP.

Thanks again for your time. Hope to hear from as many people as possible.

Regards,

mezcal

You can also get a Zender-modded BIOS that allows for other cards. Search the T60 forum.
