Where the heck are the new Thinkpads x210?

#1 Post by Karakasa » Fri Sep 03, 2010 10:42 pm

The series is put on more discount sales than the notoriously promoted T410s while the X-series' revamp with a new keyboard, multitouch, etc. is overdue, I think. Where are the new models for this autumn?
In this regard, it would be certainly interesting to know how things are going on the mainboard-side: Are Dual-Core Atoms feasible for X2xx with a pledge for higher performance?

No. Atom is an efficient x86 architecture, but not a high performance one.

Most likely they'll offer a new X series when Intel releases their new platform next year.

Interestingly enough the X200 was offered with the SU2300, SU4100 and SU7300 CPUs, which would be more power efficient.

multitouch on the tiny x trackpad would be pretty funny
