The Flex!
The Flex!
As I mentioned in a different thread, I am now the proud owner of a X200. It was manufactured in February 2010 (it says 10/02 underneath, anyway) and I'm seeing quite some flex off on the left and right of the palm rest if I apply pressure with my fingers. What's up with that? I thought people complained about it and Lenovo implemented some better design to stop it. Am I just too picky?

Re: The Flex!
On my (older) X200 I can only feel flex just above the express card slot and a little where the thinkpad logo is. None elsewhere on the palm rest.
Re: The Flex!
Check to see if the screws securing the keyboard on the underside of the notebook are secure, I can see loose screws causing the keyboard to flex.
Re: The Flex!
To my knowledge, the X200 never underwent any design changes. Perhaps you're confusing it with the failed T400/T500 keyboard design changes?EchoFox wrote:As I mentioned in a different thread, I am now the proud owner of a X200. And yes, the plastic on the palmrests will flex if pressed hard enough.
