What is required to hook up dual flat panels to X201?

#1 Post by Bánh mì » Mon Sep 13, 2010 10:44 pm

I have the Ultrabase. What else do I need?

This cable:

What is the difference between the above and a more expensive Thinkpad brand cable?

This cable goes into the Ultrabase? What about a second monitor? How to hook it up?

Thanks for you help!

The X200 dock has a VGA connector and a display port for dual monitors. You'd need a VGA monitor and display port monitor. If you don't have one of those, you can get a cable for display to HDMI or DVI along with the corresponding monitor.

Thanks, I'm not intrested in having two monitors of a different kind. I want the look to be symmetric and high tech. How to hook up dual LED flat panels?

many computer monitors have both a VGA and a DVI/HDMI/Displayport connection.
with dual LED panels, you mean TV's? many TV's have a VGA connection, but you'll have ot check that! for the other screen you can use a displayport to HDMI adapter.
