Ultrabay CD to Ultrabay hard drive enclosure via dissembly?

#1 Post by cure » Sat Sep 18, 2010 10:06 am

I have several spare Ultrabay CD's sitting about. And it just occured to me that one MIGHT be converted into an Ultrabay hard drive enclosure through simple disassembly. Has any one tried this? Does it work?

Thanx.

Which version?

Some versions might allow for it, some might not. (Interface, height etc)

Also, while this could be a cool DIY project, aftermarket adapters can be had cheaply on eBay.
