Can I Use The SAME W7 Upgrade Disc To Upgrade Multiple PCs?

I have XP on my Dekstop (DIY) and XP/Vista Business on my Thinkpad X200T. If I buy the W7 Ultimate/64 Upgrade DVD, SINCE I have TWO XPs (diff serial #s), can I use that Upgrade Disc to update both of my Machines? In other words, if I upgrade will it be two separate activations since they are two LEGALLY purchased XPs w/diff serial #s? Thanks in advance.

You can't use the same key for two machines.

Am I getting the W7 KEY from the DVD? Or am I using my XP KEY in order to gain access to the upgrade. That's what I'm trying to understand. I purhcased XP TWICE, therefore I'm surmising that I could upgrade both machines w/the same W7 DVD.

Yes, the disc is the same, but you need two keys for two machines. If you purchased two upgrade keys, then you could use the same disc.

You need new, separate Win 7 keys for each upgrade in order to activate each Win 7 installation.
