LCD Screen Parts...

I was wondering if anyone had any information about or a source for LCD parts. What I am specifically interested in are the layers of plastic [I really don't know what the name is] sandwiched in between the lcd screen itself and the white backing panel. I got a T61 last week and it had a couple of very dark areas so I took the LCD apart and very carefully cleaned those sheets and put it back together. It's by no means perfect but it is a lot better than it was. If I could get my hands on some new sheets I bet it would look nearly brand new.

Anyone have any suggestions?

You're talking about diffusion layers. If you can find an LCD that is cracked, the diffusion layers may be intact. Don't pay a lot for this item. EBay is a good source.

Often that layer is damaged as well when the LCD is cracked.
