L512 Slowdown while charging
My laptop runs fine when its not plugged in, but the second I plug it in it slows way down. Once I unplug it it speeds back up again. It's plugged in right now and the text is lagging like crazy. What's going on?

Re: L512 Slowdown while charging
Same thing happens to my L412. It happens both in Windows7 and also Ubuntu (dual boot).
I think it's something to do with ACPI (advanced configuration and power interface)..
I'm a newbie though, just guessing, don't really know how to look for the source of the problem..
Anyone?

Run task manager while plugged in. Is there any process that is utilizing CPU excessively?

Re: L512 Slowdown while charging
In the Power Manager, I changed the AC settings to what the battery settings were, now all of the settings are to three (Performance, System Temp, Fan, and Power Usage), except Power Usage is set to five. That actually completely fixed the problem, but I still don't understand why having the settings higher would make the computer completely unusable.
