Thinkvantage - small issues with Ultranav and Power Manager

#1 Post by dr_st » Mon Sep 20, 2010 4:07 am

I've been experiencing two minor annoyances with the Thinkvantage suite, both on my T60 and T42. I am not sure whether it's always been the case, but it seems as it might have.

1) Power Manager changes LCD brightness on startup - it has brightness settings for battery/AC modes, and every time I boot, it changes to whichever is applicable. Is there a way to get it to just leave the LCD in whatever state it currently is?

2) Ultranav icon always present in system tray upon boot - even if I remove it and uncheck the box in the Ultranav tab in the mouse settings. Strangely, if I click the icon in the tray, the box is unchecked, even though the icon is there. Checking and unchecking the box again makes the icon go away, but only until the next boot.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with fixing either one or both of these small annoyances.
