Became an X60 owner! Yuhuuuu!!! *PICS*

Short status, bezel arrived some days ago and now it's installed. My X60 looks like almost new now!

I also have an Atheros wireless card AR5XB6 around that I bought for one of my T6s, will it be cooler than the Intel PRO 3945ABG installed in my X60? Is it worth swapping it?

I assume the foam is for better airflow in the X61/s with second fan. You can leave it on the bezel.

My guess is that the foam is there for shock protection.

It will not be cooler. However, if you have "range" problems with the Intel 3945, as some people do, then you should know that the Atheros card (or any card, including any of Intel's other cards!) will behave much better in that regard than the 3945.

Thanks EOMtp, I don't have range problems, the router is not sitting far away and I get an excellent signal from every corner of my house. I will probably swap the Atheros with the IBM card sitting on my T60.
