Upgraded to Wireless N (atheros) now Access Connection dies

#1 Post by alkemyst » Mon Sep 20, 2010 6:58 pm

As soon as I try to launch it it disappears from the system tray. Launch Access Connections.exe does nothing.

Event Viewer shows MSVCR71.dll as the faulting module.

Any pointers to help? It was working with the wireless a/b/g I had.

Thanks

Did you update the driver ? Maybe un-install the prevous driver b4 ! What is the P/N of your WIFI ?

It was my video drivers actually. I ran the PC Doctor and my video test kept failing. (I was playing with ATI Tools and stuff this past weekend).

I uninstalled all the tools and the ATI drivers I had downloaded from ATI.COM and access connections started working again.

I am thinking the 'splash screen' was causing it to crash...now all is well and I am getting connections as good as my desktop and my wife's new macbook pro.
