3 year warranty extension on X201 purchase

Ordered a X201 about three weeks ago via Lenovo online along with a 3 year basic warranty extension. Have had the laptop for two weeks, no issues to date.

When I checked my warranty status on the website, it's only showing the standard 1 year warrantly, eg. my warranty ends on Sept -2011.

Obviously, I'll need to call customer service to get the problem rectified, but my question is, is the 3 year warranty extension that I purchased an additional 3 years of coverage added to the default 1 year warranty, eg. my warranty would end on Sept-2014 or is the warranty extension only for a 3 year period total, meaning that coverage would end on Sept-2013?
