T42 Fingerprint reader?

My t42 didn't come with a built in fingerprint reader and i was wondering if i bought a palm rest for a t42 that has a fingerprint reader and installed it on my t42 would it work?
IBM T42, RAM 1.5gb,HD 160gb,ATI 7500 32mb,XP pro

Welcome to the forum!

No it wouldn't work. Unlike T43/p, most T42/p motherboards do not support fingerprint reader.
