Hi, I will appreciate any feedback.
I had problem with a T61 motherboard-video card 2 months ago. Instead of booting up it would make 3 beeps and show a black screen.
It was on warranty so I sent it to Lenovo for repair. They told me it was a motherboard problem , that they were going to replace it and that it should take about 2 or 4 days.
Over a month has pass since I sent it. I called 3 times and always got the same answer, the don`t have the replacement part on stock and they don`t have an estimate date of arrival.
Is this usual for lenovo? Has anybody waited so long for a warranty repair? I had use the warranty service before and had no problems.
Shouldn't`t they offer an alternative solution, like replacing the whole notebook for a similar one?
Thanks, Jorge.
T61, how long can it take for warranty service to repair it?
Re: T61, how long can it take for warranty service to repair it?
Here is exactly what you need to say: "The delay is too long and I want to escalate". They should assign someone to watch the status and it should get repaired quickly. They can find a motherboard somewhere.
