T30 Lights Not Working

As you may have read in my previous posts I have recently replaced the M/Bo in my T30 but now I have discovered that the status lights have stopped working.

After reading through the posts on this forum I again stripped down the machine in the hope it would be a blown fuse? But I have not managed to locate the problem.

I can also say that following the reassembly yesterday, the battery and hibernation lights have now also stopped working.

Any ideas ????

Put some type of shim between the HDD and the cover. Need to make sure the HDD is fully seated. Of the T30's I have owned, I have had it happen a time or 2. The X30 and 31's I have had it happen many, many times. Dont know why, but its free, and might make a difference.

Have tried what you suggested but still no joy.

Have stripped down the machine again, checked through all the fuses, even soldered some other fuses "piggy-back" on top of the ones on the M/Bo, but still no success.

Looks like the time to bin it?

Maybe try reseating (or replacing) the LCD cable?

Have tried the LCD in the old M/Bo and the hibernation and battery lights work ok on that.

Cannot go any further as that M/Bo won't boot due to a fault.

I have a great T30 with as-new SXGA+ and both RAM slots working, in excellent condition.
I'd be willing to sell you that in a barebones version, so you can transfer your "old" stuff into it.
