Fan and SXGA+ panel / lid for T30

#1 Post by Norway Pad » Sun Oct 03, 2010 8:33 pm

Ok, so the T30 fan has become noisy now. The "fan error" that occurred a couple of times earlier was probably a sign that this was about to happen. So I am looking for this fan:
From 1.9GHz and up, get the "fan 2": 46P3132 a.k.a. 46P2958, which can be used on all models (incl. slower CPUs)
I can buy these on eBay, but if someone here have a new one for sale, I would be more comfortable buying one through this forum.

Since the T30 is a handy little laptop, I have actually started using it so much now that I also want to fix the screen issue it has had ever since I bought it. The LCD cable is flaky, and since the panel is a yellowish UXGA panel, I want to simply upgrade the whole thing to SXGA.

I could also be interested in a complete lid with a good SXGA panel, even with a bluetooth antenna in it. If so, I need the Bluetooth CDC card in addition, but if it's a card that is compatible with all motherboards(?), I would be happy to buy that too. At that point, maybe a stripped down T30 with a dead mobo, but working SXGA/ Bluetooth CDC, 2.0 GHz CPU, etc, could also be an option for me. Let me know what is around and what prices you guys are looking at.

I was offered a SXGA+ panel/cable from an user in Europe, but I would like to see if anything is available here in the US first.

Thank you for any answer!
