#1 Post by wim » Fri Oct 08, 2010 4:34 am

Hi all,

Yesterday I heave format my HDD from Vista Business.

After install Win 7 I was trying to install all utilities which was not a big problem. Only when I want install Rescue & recovery (the newest version 4.31) I got a error with code ''6''. After searching on the web I was not able to find a solution. Even after updating Visual C++ it won't install.

What am I dieing wrong and how must I do it right?

Regards Wim

Ps: Sorry for my bad English trying to do my best better it a bit.

There are some prerequisites for that application. One of them is the MS .NET Framework. Install the latest version of .net from the MS Windows update site, optional updates.

Tnx for ur answer but my system is already up to date. it seems like the setup is unable to adjust the bootmanagaer, must I have special privileges to do that?

What I have done is install it in compatibility mode on Win Vista runned it as administrator an in a different language this al makes no sense.

So help pls, I want just a top working Thinkpad :P
