I guess this is kind of a ethical question. I paid $18 for Avatar 3D in a REALD 3D theatre last Xmas. I didn't throw out the glasses.
Now let's say I want to watch Resident Evil Afterlife in 3D, I asked them if I could bring my old glasses with me and pay a lower price, since the $3 difference is for the glasses, and the lady selling tickets say 'NO'.
Well, there is really nothing stops me to purchase a non-3D movie @ $15 or less and sneak into the 3D showing room. I'm just polling what do you think of this? Any input is welcome, I don't suppose you're a movie theatre owner though. I'm in NYC now so the price may seem high to some of you. but that's reality here.

Why are you asking us? Are you already having pangs of conscience?

Re: 3D glasses reuse
I guess it's another sign of the "use and throw away" society we are in. And I guess that IBMlenovo123, just like most people on this forum, doesn't necessarily like that. Nothing much can be done about it, since it's easier to just have people buy new stuff and throw the old stuff away instead of putting any effort into reusing or repairing anything. Maybe I am getting old, I don't know..
Btw, I am typing this on a computer that most people nowadays would see as obsolete and ready to go in the garbage.

Re: 3D glasses reuse
The difference in price might not just be the cost of the glasses, but rather the expense in using that theater....like paying more for a larger room in a hotel. But that is just a guess, since you and I know that the glasses aren't necessarily that expensive.IBMlenovo123 wrote:...since the $3 difference is for the glasses, and the lady selling tickets say 'NO'.
Just curious, are you even sure that those glasses will work in that movie? I thought that I had read/heard something about different 3D technologies and glasses depending on the movie that you see.
Though, we all know how theaters feel about ANY kind of carry in...lol
As for the ethical question, of sneaking in...that is your choice, and you might not be happy with the results if you got caught.
