Cannot get ps2 mouse to work on 600e

#1 Post by T22 4me » Sat Mar 12, 2005 7:01 pm

I just bought a 600E for my mom. (beautiful machine)almost makes me wish I had not skipped from the 560 to T22(almost).

The only issue is I cant get it to working with an external mouse,I have installed drivers.Accordind to the device manager I am having conflict with the trackpoint.

Also cant get it to work on my wireless network;but, she dont have a network anyway.so I am not too worried about that.

It is a 2645-4BU running windows 98se.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Go into the configuration Utility and set the Trackpoint to "AutoEnable".

This will allow the mouse to be auto-configured when connected.

What's the problem with the network connection.

Do you mean auto-disable.I have that, enable&disable.I have tried all.even disable, which was a big mistake on my part.I did get past it and manage to turn the track point back on.

I bought a new mouse with its own driver,As I have had trouble with 98 and plugnplay.uninstalled the mouse with the conflicts.I now have no conflicts but the new ps2 mouse still does not work.windows recognizes it as hardware;but, when I disable the trackpoint: windows gave me a message saying no mouse was present............I am puzzled to say the least :?
