SOLD! Panasonic CF-T4 "light" ToughBook, very clean SOLD

A project that I never got to...because of the X60T that ended up in my lap, a SXGA+ version that I've been after for quite some time...

If you're willing to look outside of the ThinkPad box, this is one very interesting and extremely well-built ultraportable. The basics are:

Magnesium alloy shell - weighs about 3lb (1.52 kg)
Pentium M (Dothan) ULV 753 @ 1.2 Ghz
512MB on-board RAM (one slot open for an additional 1GB of 172-pin DDR2 RAM)
Intel 900 graphics
12" XGA touchscreen LCD (insanely bright, definitely outdoor usable)
U. S. keyboard
Fanless design (seriously dead quiet)
Intel 2915ABG wireless card
LAN, modem
1 PCMCIA slot
SD card reader
2 USB 2.0 ports
original battery that holds full charge (Panasonic says this is good for 12 hours, I'd say 6-7)
No hard drive (IDE/PATA required)
No AC adapter (works very well with the T4x series 72w adapter, voltages match etc.)
No pen
XP Professional COA

The laptop in question - apart from some scratches on the lid (which wears easily on all newer Panasonic) is in excellent condition. The usage clock in BIOS shows 10 hours - may get to 12 by the time I'm done playing with it - which is next to unbelievable for any notebook of this generation. Keyboard and palmrest look unused, and the screen is downright flawless. Touchpad is by far - in my opinion - the best in business.

This is a U.S. market machine, meaning that the support, drivers, manuals etc. are available from Panasonic without having to master Japanese language. Not that there's anything wrong with being fluent in any foreign language, but not because one needs support for their newly-bought laptop...

The closest ThinkPad-related comparison that I can give would be a X41 with a bulletproof vest.... :) ...out of all fairly recent Panasonics that were officialy sold in this country, this one is likely the ultimate travel machine, at least in my book.

Before you ask questions or PM me regarding payment terms, here's some reading material:

I've booted this machine from an external USB drive using a "live" Mint CD, and it runs like a deer, even with the measly amount of RAM it currently has. I have no clue whether it has any warranty remaining - one has to register ownership with Panasonic to get that type of info - but presume that it doesn't. I'll guarantee it against DOA and to arrive as described.

Asking $150 + shipping at cost to most locations worldwide.

PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.
