Would you share with us what made you defect?

(I'm still waiting for a genuine 10" form factor HD Thinkpad)

I can't believe you'd turn to the dark side.:)

And that I missed a show at upgrading again.

The 10" form factor is just too small for me. Tried the S10 but just too small. Tried a T42 recently and it's too big. Maybe one of these days I'll try an 11" or a 13"

It's amazing that an excellent-condition X60 can now be had for only $239 shipped! People, grab it before it's gone! I am almost tempted to buy it just to try Erik's SXGA+ mod!

Yes, I was the culprit. LOL!

I can't speak for Ron but I am rarely turned on by HP laptops. This Mini 5101 and the HP nc2400 that I used to have are the only two exceptions.

Well, the S10's biggest problem isn't the size per se, but instead the low resolution. The HP 5101 has an HD screen.

Now, now Dave... :BAAAD!:

I haven't turned to the dark side....

Just that the HP5101 was a much better netbook than a Lenovo S10. Had one last year.

and LOOK.. I just picked up a Lenovo R400 !! see...............

Thanks,
Ron

This is a great deal on a nicely outfitted X60 - I feel like I never see the Bluetooth and FPR at this price. If someone is on the fence with this one, they should do it. I ADORE my X60, so much that when it was stolen last year I didn't think "Oh, time to upgrade", I found and bought another one from the forum! Mine runs Windows 7 Ultimate speedily (with 2GB RAM) and performs just as well as current-day laptops.

If I didn't have another Thinkpad incoming, I would seriously be tempted :thumbs-UP:

Back in April, Lenovo told us we'd have an S10-3s (that's "Ess Ten Three Ess") with a 720p (1280x720) screen. Not quite back to XGA height, but a huge improvement over the status quo. Alas, we're still waiting... given the amazing quality of of the S10-3 keyboard, I would have considered a slight haircut on vertical pixels, and even living without a trackpoint, for the 10" size.

HP put a trackpoint on the NC2400, why not take a chance and offer it on a netbook?

.....x60 is still available...............

great comments by all. I still enjoy using the HP, though like Kwoon I would have liked the lcd to go back 180 deg like the x60 but I'm adapting..
