Thinkpad W-serise Refresh?

I noticed that the Thinkpad W-series still uses the i7-720QM, i7-820QM, and i7-920XM cpus.

Any thoughts on when they might be refreshed to the 740, 840 and 940?

Ya, I posted the same question a while ago. No one seems to know.

It turns out that you can actually install the newer CPUs yourself. I've read of a few people using them.

Obviously that costs a lot more compared to just getting it with a 740QM to begin with, but it is an option.

I plan to install a 940XM when the price comes down.
