X60T Screen Backlight off after sleep.

For some reason, the screen backlight on my X60T often does not turn back on when I resume from sleep. I can't find a setting in the control panel to turn it of--upping the screen brightness with the fn key + "Home" hs no effect.

can anyone suggest a fix?

What operating system are you using?
X61 Tablet - 1.6GHz C2D, SXGA+, 1GB RAM, 100GB HD, Vista Business.

i have other laptops but i'll be honest i never use 'em

I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise.
Let me also say that the backlight will go on again if I reboot.
